| Beethavean "Bee" Scottland died on July 3, 2001 from injuries that he suffered during a brutal boxing match in New York. Four years before his death, David Snider documented Bee's life, producing an intimate portrait of the young pugilist. Nightline broadcast Snider's footage in its report on July 9, 2001 on Scottland's death. | Ellen Bomer was an American Embassy staffer in Nairobi, Kenya, when she was gravely wounded by an Al-Qaida terrorist bombing. She barely survived but lost her sight. Ellen began the long road of rehabilitation and adaption to her blindness. Along the way, she became friends with Dr. Harold Snider, who guided Ellen and her husband Don as they became members of the America's blind community.
